Every year I watch the Academy Awards with the hope of one day picking up on of those beautiful statuettes. During the award season, Viola Davis won just about ever acting award for her amazing performance in THE HELP with the exception of the Golden Globes. So when the winner of Best Actress was announced and Meryl Streep's name was called - there was a gasp in the audience because everyone except for the two guys at Price Waterhouse thought Viola was a shoe-in. Well that's what we all got for thinking again. Truth be told, I had a feeling Meryl Streep would win. Hey - Meryl was insanely good in her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher. This actress is in all likelhood the best actress of all times. My advice to Viola is this - GURL you lost to the best actress of all times. It would be different if you lost to Snooki - then I would personally call Al Sharpton and tell him - handle business.
And here's another thought - Meryl Streep didn't think she would win, nor did Vegas. Don't get me wrong - I love Meryl and I love the fact that she was gracious to you as she went up to the stage to receive the Oscar. She's a class act.
My advice to you Viola - go to Pink's Hot Dogs on LaBrea dressed like Margaret Thatcher.
